Princess cut diamonds are super popular right now. While they tend to not be as brilliant as a round diamond because of the nature of their cut, (read more here) there is no doubting their icy, sleek allure. This week, I’ve rounded up some of my favorite settings and engagement rings featuring the square shaped princess-cut.
Budget Princess Cut Engagement Rings
This dainty ring has tons of textural details to give it a vintage look. It’s even made from recycled gold making it eco-friendly as well.
($899 Princess Cut Vintage Floral Diamond Engagement Ring in 14K Yellow Gold from Apples of Gold)
This ring looks so much more expensive than it actually is. Set with a a beautiful princess cut baby pink topaz instead a diamond, designer Jude Frances has created an affordable alternative engagement ring. Still, it’s crafted out of 18kt yellow gold and set with diamonds around the center stone and down the band.
($1,490 from YLANG23)
I love the leaf cut out design in this 22K gold band from designer Cathy Waterman.
($3,500, Cathy Waterman Princess Wheat Cutout Band at YLANG23)
Mid-Range Princess Cut Engagement Rings
This setting looks pretty simple from the top, with a solitaire center diamond and micropavé diamonds down the side, but seen from the side, it reveals a pretty open-work lattice detail.
If you are looking for a colored stone engagement ring and don’t fancy pink, you can’t beat this handmade beauty. That blue sapphire looks out of this world.
($4,375, Custom Made Princess Cut Blue Sapphire & Diamond Engagement Ring in Platinum from Adzias Jewelry Atelier on Etsy)
High-End Princess Cut Engagement Rings
This ring is a bit more sleek. The three-stone setting is so simple, modern and classic. The diamond pavé extending down the band adds a bit more glitter and interest.
($3,000, 18K White Gold three stone princess and pave set diamond engagement ring from James Allen. Price does not include center diamond.)
