I’m a big fan of wedding bands and engagement rings that feature organic motifs. I’ve written about rings that integrate a floral motif before. This week, I turn to wedding bands that integrate leaves into their design. Here are five of my picks for leaf wedding bands. Many of them are suitable for both men or women.
Budget Leaf Wedding Bands
Carved into sterling silver, a band of double leaves wraps around the center of this ring. The center band is wrapped and framed in a fine silver metal that will not tarnish. At a wide 8mm, this band would be great pick for both men and women.
($249 from Apples of Gold)
This daintier, vintage inspired band, has a more subtle leaf motif, with simple, graceful lines carved into the ring depicting the leaves. Set in between each leaf is a paired diamond and sapphire.
($858 in 14K gold from My Love Wedding Ring)
Mid-Range Leaf Wedding Bands
This 14K “Eternity de L’Amour” wedding band by designer Catherine Michiels has the rustic look of an ancient Greek relic. It looks as though it could have been dug out of the ground in some archeological dig. The three leaf pattern is repeated on the four sides of the band.
($1,090 from Ylang23)
The delicate leaves in this 18K white gold ring are cut out by hand with a tiny jewelers saw by designer Yasuko Asuma. Tiny diamonds add a bit of sparkle, and a hammered finish further adds to its rustic, organic appeal.
($1,540 from Ylang23)
High-End Leaf Wedding Band
Perhaps the most elegant of this weeks picks, this band features dainty, hand carved leaves alternating with bezel set diamond around the entire ring. A delicate, milligrain pattern around each outer edge gives the band even more visual detail.
