Halo engagement rings, with diamonds completely encircling or framing a larger, center stone, are among the hottest trends in bridal jewelry. Unlike some engagement ring trends today (say rose shaped rings) the following rings are sure to always remain timeless.
Budget Halo Engagement Rings
Super sweet, with diamond hearts framing a diamond-haloed blue sapphire, this dainty 10K ring would make a perfect promise ring.

Making it a little simpler to purchase an engagement ring, James Allen has introduced several collections pre-set with diamonds and colored gemstones, in addition to their “build your own ring” offerings. The latest “Royal Halo“ line is their most affordable pre-set line to date, being exclusively available in 14K white gold. Styles range from the more modern to the decidedly antique in feel, and of course, all feature diamond halos in their designs.
This antique style setting features two rows of diamond halos, giving it the look of a blossoming flower. A scollop design going around the band further adds to its antique feel.

MID-RANGE HALO ENGAGEMENT RINGS
This 18K “Tula” diamond ring from designer Katie Diamond (how perfect a name is that!) combines modern simplicity with an antique feel. I love the unique overall hexagon shape and the combination of round diamonds framing the center emerald cut diamond. So unusual, and as it sits flush against the finger, it would be a perfect choice for a modern, active lady.

HIGH-END HALO ENGAGEMENT RINGS
A simple shape combined with rich, custom detailing give this ring from Ritani a timeless vintage appeal. A thin, elegant, French-set diamond band is topped by an emerald cut diamond surround by a diamond halo. Also available to fit other shaped stones, but I think an emerald cut gives it the most elegant look.
This setting’s most unusual feature is the swirling, interlocking bands of diamonds meant to evoke the eternity symbol. Atop this sits a half carat center round diamond surround by a halo of more diamonds.
